Why Cognitive Hypnotherapy?
The 'Cognitive' approach to hypnotherapy, as promoted by my trainer Trevor Silvester of The Quest Institute, is significantly different to that of traditional schools.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy draws on recent discoveries and models from Evolutionary Psychology, Positive Psychology, cognitive theory and NLP and incorporates them into a contemporary, science-based framework for personalised therapy.
My own experience tells me there's not a "one size fits all" solution for any given problem since everyone experiences their problem from a unique and personal perspective. A core principle of Cognitive Hypnotherapy is to recognise each person as unique and to ensure that the process of addressing their problem is tailored accordingly.
